FAQ

Are these boards food-safe?

Yes! All of our boards are finished with a food-safe, FDA-approved mineral oil or cutting board oil to ensure they’re safe for everyday use.

Can I use the board for cutting as well as serving?

Absolutely. These boards are functional for cutting, slicing, and serving. That said, heavy knife use may leave marks over time, especially on the resin areas, so we recommend using the wood portion more for
cutting.

How do I clean and care for the board?

Wipe the board with a damp cloth or mild soap and water—never soak it or put it in the dishwasher. To keep the board looking its best, reapply food-safe mineral oil every few weeks or as needed.

Is the resin durable? Will it chip or crack?

The resin we use is professional-grade and fully cured for durability. It's very strong under normal use but, like any handmade item, can chip if dropped on a hard surface.

Can I customize the color or wood type?

Yes! We offer custom options for resin colors (over a dozen choices) and wood types like walnut, red oak, and cherry. Just contact us to design your own board.

Are the boards sealed or finished with anything?

Yes, every board is hand-sanded smooth and finished with a food-safe oil that enhances the natural grain and protects the surface.

Will the resin fade or yellow over time?

We use high-quality UV-resistant epoxy to help prevent yellowing, but as with any resin product, prolonged direct sunlight exposure can cause slight discoloration over the years.

Are these boards heat resistant?

The resin can handle moderate heat, but we recommend avoiding direct contact with hot pots, pans, or baking sheets to prevent warping or damage.

Can I use one side for display and the other for cutting?

Definitely. Many customers use one side (often the resin-rich side) as a display or serving surface and the back for light cutting work.

Are these boards one-of-a-kind?

Yes! Each board is handcrafted, and the swirling patterns in the resin are completely unique—no two are ever the same.
